About Bombazi Wilderness

Bombazi Wilderness ranch is owned and operated by the Greig family. Bombazi ranch consists of 10,000 exclusive acres in the Eastern Cape of South Africa which will serve as home for your stay. In addition there is access to another 50,000 acres in the immediate vicinity. Dates are flexible, dependent on your wishes. We are open year round.

Two lodges are available with each having private rooms for up to three couples. Youth and families are encouraged. In addition tented accommodations are available for those who wish to be a bit more adventurous at reduced rates.

Activities:

• Stable of horses for trail riding and game viewing

• A groomsman is assigned to prepare the horses and accompany you if that is desired.

• East London Shopping

• We are located one hour from the “big town” and the beach

• Shopping trips are included in pricing as long as there are multiple shoppers. Lunch is “Dutch treat.”

• Side trips to Addo Elephant National Park and other game reserves for game viewing and photo expeditions can be arranged.

• There is an additional charge for these trips, please indicate your desires and we will make arrangements. Addo accommodations typically need to be booked a year in advance.

• Emphasis at Bombazi is on family and outdoor activities. As long as there are groups of four or more people there will be no charges for these activities unless noted. Individual tours can also be arranged.

• World renowned Bushman painting expert will guide tours on and off the property and conduct lectures at the Bushman Museum, about 30 minutes from the property. (There are numerous sites on the property and a wealth of spectacular sites near by.) He is also an expert on ancient civilization in the Eastern Cape

• Local dams and streams for fishing of bass and trout. Big game fishing can be arranged in the Indian Ocean off East London. Additional charges apply.

• Expert ornithologists available for birding walks, learn the local bird species (Close to 200 species just on the property.)

• Miles of trails on the property with guided tours available.

• Botanical tours guided by professional biologist available (One species unknown to science was discovered on the property five years ago.)

• Motorcycles, mountain bikes, ATV’s and go-carts are available as long as the provided safety gear and helmets are worn and you sign an insurance waiver.
